About me: About The Character Name: Richard Issac Harrison Nickname: Richie (I have been called Dick. Often proceeded by Head. Dunno why). Theme Tune: Daddy, have you ever been arrested? Gender: Male, at least I was last time I looked. Age: What you wanna know my age for? I'm just out of teens. Ok, Ok, I'm 26. Satisfied? Sexual Preferences: Well I like Betty, but I'd be thinking of Wilma. No seriously, I like girls. Physical Description Tall and broad. My physique is muscular but not that of a body builder per se. I have medium length, wild mousey hair and dark, expressive eyes. Yeah its generic, man! just get over it? If you want me to draw you a picture, imagine me drawing Ryan Reynolds, K? You will find a large tattoo of a tiger on my back (original, huh? What can I say, I was young). On my right arm is a vary large, very red scar. There was a name tattooed to that arm. I had it removed, with a knife. Having it removed hurt almost as painfully as removing the owner of the name from my life. So just don't go there. Well I dress pretty much like anyone. Blue jeans, white T-Shirt. Probably with a Dalek on it or a picture of Yoda (Not baby Yoda, I do have some self respect). I have this black denim Jacket that I wear everywhere. It has more patches than a nicotine addict, too many pockets and numerous badges. History Nah. Flunked history. Oh, you want MY history? So once upon a time a really fly french immigrant named Chloe Blanc, decided to visit New Orleans. There she met James Malcom Harison, an American national who owned a local Jazz club. They dug each other. They bumped uglies. I was the result. I was the only child so I got a lot of attention. I grew up in a city famed for its cultural diversity and supernatural history and it had its affect on me. I developed a curiosity about the world and a desire to learn more about the paranormal. My second area of interest was Naomi Clarke, a Cajun girl and daughter of a voodoo priest. She taught me Mojo. She taught me how to channel the Loa. She taught me a few other things as well but lets not go into that. So We split up. Partly because I went to Arkham to study programming and partly because we got bored, I guess. I still keep in touch from time to time. She was my first after all. So as well as becoming a shit hot programmer (I wish!) I also joined the local Aikido club, under the excellent tuition of Mr Agawa, had a brief fling with a Japanese girl called Yuki and got my ass kicked by her brother, Kazuo. Its funny how a little ass kicking can turn into a long running bromance, isn't it? So Yuki was a flash in the pan affair but Kazuo, he's my bro man. He has my back. It helps that he's also a lawyer now. Yep a Philadelphia lawyer (I kid you not). So one thing I have a talent for is music. I can play guitar, piano, drums and saxophone. I can sing too. My voice is like my dad's, smooth husky and bluesy. I can give any Jazz or swing singer a run for their money. So do I sing? Is screamo singing? Yeah, Jazz is fun but screamo is funnerer (bad grammer, get over it). So lets wrap up my story. So I spent some time in Boston in a band. It wasn't my main source of income. I wrote indie games and sold them on the net. That wasn't my main source of income, either. I spent time behind bars (no not in prison, I worked in nightclubs as a barman). This band consisted of me (Bass guitar), Eddie (Lead Vocals), Jenny (Lead Guitar) and Handy Andy (Drums). We called ourselves the Not So Bravehearts and we wore kilts. Life was good. We played clubs. We did drugs, I bumped uglies with Jenny. Life was sweet. Until Eddie ruined it all. You see, Eddie is... how can I put this politely? Eddie is an ego-maniacal, narcisistic *censored* He was fine so long as he was center stage. Thing is he was only a mediocre singer. He liked Jenny. He knew me and Jenny were an item so he kept me sweet to keep her sweet. See me and Jenny. It was like, the real deal. It was love, man. I even got a tattoo of her name on my arm (O.K. so I told you not to mention it but I did so that's ok). So imagine my shock when I found Eddie and Jenny one day doing stuff to each other that even I would have gone red over. Yeah, things were awkward after that and the band knew it and Eddie used it. He wasn't just content with destroying my love life. He took the band from me too, goaded me into a fight on stage and got me kicked out. So here I am. Wandering around in Betsy (It's my car. It's a purple and black mini), sleeping in Betsy and doing odd jobs for cash. Who I'd like to meet: About The Player So lets elaborate on what I'm looking for. I want to recreate in textual form that rush of excitement / energy when meeting a beautiful woman for the first time. The chase, the longing. The stolen glances, the racing heartbeat when she's near. The sense of loss when she's not. When (if) we get to the intimate stuff it should be the exploration of each other's bodies, the heat of passion. I.e. not just mindless sex. Now I'm attracted to Asian women. I have been in many role plays alongside characters that are Asian women. In only a very few cases did it actually feel like my character was communicating with a character that was from South East Asia. In those few cases I can't really define what made it feel more authentic, exactly. Just something about the use of language, maybe? Or was it the way their behavior was described? Also, I should point out that I know that at least one person who has done this well is not from south east Asia, so the actual player's nationality isn't as important. The reason I'm pointing this out is that on the very rare occasion that does happen its like striking gold for me. On another note: There's this one character on another site that I keep bumping into from time to time. I really haven't had much luck writing with them (not because the player is adverse to writing with me but because RL tends to keep getting in the way of writing with her). What is refreshing about this character is a lot of the time my characters are involved with strong, dominant women. There's nothing wrong with that. I like that. But this particular character is refreshing in that she is not dominant or domineering at all. She's quite submissive to JUST the right degree. Its hard to explain but she is written in a way that mixes sexuality with cuteness with a certain naivete that makes her very attractive (to me). If that sort of thing were recreated in a game then it would certainly keep my interest. I also must be involved in an interesting plot. I like the idea of romance and have wrote erotica in the past (both comfortably and at times uncomfortably) but I don't want to be in a game that is just a string of sex scenes. So here are some other pointers: Please don't ghost me. If you can't write with me for more than, say, two weeks then tell me. If you have lost interest in writing with me then tell me. If you have any issues with me or my writing then tell me. Don't just leave me hanging. Its' really not good for my health, or my already low self esteem! Please talk to me. The more we discuss things the more we can write a story that we both enjoy. For me simply keeping a love interest going is usually enough but for others they may have different things that grab their attention. So talk. Think first, and clarify if you are unsure. I have a very good friend who's opinion I trust. You know, the kind of friend that tells you what you need to hear rather than what you want to hear? And she does it in a considerate way. So when she tells me I am socially inept when it comes to communication I listen. She has also recommended some good books that I am working through. What this means is that I may say something that unintentionally annoys or offends. I won't be aware that this is happening and so when it does I need it to be kindly pointed out. Assumptions and misunderstandings lead to conflict and I've absolutely had far too much conflict in my life.
