Wonho was born as Lee Ho Seok on March 1st, 1993. While in high school he became an ulzzang and was known as Shin Ho Seok. He was a trainee under Starship Entertainment for about three years prior to joining their survival show "No Mercy." He was briefly in a group with Shownu and lablemate #GUN called NuBoyz before and went by the stage name "Sino." Wonho was later announced as the fifth member of Starships new boy group, Monsta X. The group debuted on May 14th, 2015.
In October of 2019 Wonho's departure from Monsta X was announced following a number of controversies. Although his contract with Starship was terminated it was later announced that he would be signing under Highline Entertainment, a subsidiary of Starship the following year.
Wonho debuted as a soloist with the EP Love Synonym Pt. 1 in September of 2020. Since his solo debut he's had a number of projects, including a collaboration with his labelmate Kiiara. In February of 2022 he made a comeback with his single "Eye On You."
