the biography how it all began He was born without a name, and from a mother who died during childbirth. The whereabouts of his father remained unknown even to the present day. He appeared just as a normal newborn baby boy and nobody suspected that he was different. Even the circumstances of him being passed around and going in and out of foster care, and getting frequent suspensions from schools for an attitude and disruptive behavior seemed normal. The absence of any child’s biological, loving parents could cause issues within a child’s psychological wellbeing. His foster carers never seemed to love him like their own and it showed. So his lack of interest in other children was justified by his lack of a real childhood and real family. He had met no relatives. It was like his entire family tree did not exist. He had been given many names, but they never stuck or were made official and so all faded. That was up until around the age of seven years old. Eventually, at that point, he had been officially adopted into the Andou family in Mie, Japan. They had given him a new name, and hope. And those parents treated him like a normal child, and loved him like he was their own. They even had a biological son, who became his first real friend and like a real brother. Even his personality changed. It was like all of a sudden, something clicked inside of him and he went from being a problem kid with a bad past to a more normal, happy, healthy child who loved everything and everyone. Not all of the time though. Sometimes things still triggered him to lash out in an abnormal aggressive way. Usually if he didn’t like something or didn’t get his own way. This was just assumed to be from being spoilt by his new family. But school teachers often reported that the now known as ‘Daisuke’ was very helpful and caring toward others. The complete opposite of how he used to behave, and very much deserving of his new name. Not a single person was suspicious of his behavior. Even as an older teen-aged boy who was going through puberty, he would try his luck with a number of girls from his class. But he was a natural flirt with charisma enough for them to have no choice but allow him to play his game. He was known to date more than one during the same period, and most girls didn’t mind. They couldn’t get enough of his attention. It was like he had them spellbound from the first moment he graced them with such an alluring smile. They were captivated. And he knew it. But it was no surprise that he wanted more. He wanted to attract as many people as possible at any moment he desired. That was when he set his sights on music. Being a rockstar was bound to get him girls. That was the start of everything. Throughout his growing years, Daisuke had realized one thing. He was not like the other kids. Never had been. Nobody had suspected anything supernatural was at play here. Even Daisuke himself had no idea for a long time. But as time progressed, small clues started to reveal themselves. The sometimes changing irises, that seemed to turn into a crimson color was something that initially freaked him out but the more it happened, the more used to it he became. The enhanced senses compared to those of a regular human. Being half human, they were much weaker than a full-blooded demon, but still the differences were there. He knew a person was approaching long before he or anyone else would see them, and he even started to associate particular scents with individual people. Although this was something he kept completely to himself because he didn’t want to be seen as weird. The unnatural charisma that allowed him to touch people inappropriately was something he enjoyed playing with and pushing further. But everyone seemed to let him do it. Surely not all of them he experimented with wanted it. And it was never rape. But instead of being suspicious about that, he craved it more. Push the limits. Be a rockstar. Love the attention. One thing he would always keep to himself was the darkside of things that occurred. During his inexperienced days, the first girls he had been intimate with, well, the first one had ended up in hospital and he hadn’t even been able to finish. The mood was killed for him when she said she felt sick and lightheaded and needed him to stop. He had no idea what her problem had been at the time, but he had gathered his clothes, dressed himself and took off. She hadn’t been at school the following day and he had heard the rumor that she was recovering from some sickness in hospital. At the time, he didn’t think it was his fault. But the same thing happening to the second girl couldn’t have been just a coincidence. Fortunately, nothing had impacted on his reputation and the girls didn’t suspect him of anything. But for a while, he was reluctant to have sex with anyone else until he got over feeling like he had been responsible. Eventually, he got over it and went back to his normal self, taking whatever he could get. Not every girl ended up hurt or in hospital. The instances became less frequent with the more experience he got. But he had learned that he was the problem. At first, it felt like a problem anyway. Then he accepted it, when he discovered there was a way he was able to control it. A sadistic part of him still took some sort of pleasure out of harming the ones that meant little to him, especially after he learned that he felt so good for it. There’s just sex, but then there’s the kind of sex that sucks out the energy from the partner, absorbing the life force into yourself during the process. It was intoxicating. But he didn’t kill any of them. Just used them for his own benefit. And they didn’t hate him for it. When he pursued the rockstar life, he knew the opportunity to get laid would increase tenfold. More than that probably, and he used it to his utmost advantage, without anybody suspecting a thing. He also kept his private life very private. His secrets would remain his secrets. He knew what he was. Only an incubus could do and get away with the things he had, and that explained everything.

dir en grey 1997 - present DIR EN GREY is a Japanese alternative metal / avant-garde metal band formed in Osaka, Japan in 1997 from the disbanded visual kei band La:Sadie's, that have maintained a consistent lineup of 京 (Kyo) on vocals, 薫 (Kaoru) and Die on guitar, Toshiya on bass and Shinya on drums. Originally a visual kei band, the band has dropped that style since around 2005 when they released their fifth full-length album, Withering to death. (as of recently reacquired their visual kei aesthetic). Their musical style is difficult to determine; throughout their releases, they have played styles ranging from pop rock to extreme metal. Today, their style can be considered generally a version of alternative metal / avant-garde metal. Their fifth full-length album, Withering to death., was the band's first to see distribution outside of Japan. It was released in Europe by GAN-SHIN and the United States by Warcon Enterprises. The band has been signed to FIREWALL DIV., a subdivision of Free-Will under Sony Music, for its entire career so far. They're currently signed to Okami Records for European distribution and The End for United States distribution. DIR EN GREY, in its earliest form, began as the band of vocalist 京 and drummer Shinya - 廃人黒薔薇族 (Haijin Kurobarazoku, "Invalid Black Rose Family"). Members and associates of this band formed La:Sadie's, which eventually included four of the band's five current members. La:Sadie's disbanded in 1996. All but the bassist, Kisaki, and former lead guitarist, Shio (replaced by Kaoru), came back together to form Dir en grey. They recruited Toshiya, a bassist from Nagano and previously in the band D†L, and officially formed Dir en grey in February 1997. In 1998, the band gained major attention by becoming the first indies band to have a single place in the top ten on Japan's Oricon music charts. They played a sold-out performance at Osakajo Hall on December 18, 1999. This remains one of the band's most memorable solo performances to date. In 2002, the band's THE JAPANESE FXXKER FAMILY tour brought the band their first international performances. The tour took them to several countries in Asia, including China and South Korea. In Shanghai, fans became so excited that authorities attempted to cancel a planned second concert. The band and their management resisted, and the concert was played as scheduled. The year 2005 was a very significant year in the band's history. Dir en grey played their first non-Asian shows in the spring and summer of that year. TOUR05 It withers and withers was the one that brought the band from Japan to Europe. The band played shows in three European countries - Belgium, France, and Germany. Two of these performances were MTV's Rock im Park and Rock am Ring festivals. Dir en grey also played a solo live concert in Germany on May 28 which sold 3,500 standing-room tickets to Berlin's Columbia Hall in approximately 6 weeks (also rumored as 3 days). The band's album Withering to death. reached #31 on the Official Finnish Album Chart, and the single "CLEVER SLEAZOID" reached #15 on its Singles Chart. These were the first times Dir en grey had placed on a non-Asian music chart. Throughout 2009 and 2011, the band released a total of three singles that would later be added onto their 8th album (DUM SPIRO SPERO). These singles included 激しさと、この胸の中で絡み付いた灼熱の闇 (December 2nd, 2009), LOTUS (January 26, 2011), and DIFFERENT SENSE (June 22nd, 2011). On August 1st, the band had made an open letter on their Facebook page accusing the Japanese government of lying about the levels of radiation caused from the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. This led to the creation of the band's "Scream for the Truth" movement, which hoped to result in the correct numbers and truth from the government. On August 3rd, 2011 the band released their 8th studio album DUM SPIRO SPERO (latin; "While I breathe, I hope"). The material of this album was showcased on the tour of Age Quod Agis throughout Japan, and the Americas. In February of 2012, 京 (Kyo) was diagnosed with vocal nodule dysphonia. This lead to the withdrawal of the band's participation in the Still Reckless tour, and Kyo was required to have surgery performed on his throat. The band celebrated their first album's (GAUZE) 15th anniversary of August 2014 with the Tour14 Psychonnect: Mode of "Gauze"? Japanese tour. The tour included their live performances of the songs featured on Gauze. On August 5th, Dir En Grey announced their 9th studio album, ARCHE, to be released December 10th, 2014. After its release, the band performed two tours: By the Grace of God and The Unstoppable life, which brought the band back to North America; the first time since 2011. On 6 February 2016, it is officially announced that the band will release their new single, 詩踏み, on July 27, 2016. They performed tours called Tour16-17 From Depression To ________ mode of Vulgar, Tour16-17 From Depression To ________ mode of Dum Spiro Spero, and Tour16-17 From Depression To ________ mode of 鬼葬 from June to November 2016. In 2017, the band did further tours themed around previous albums. They also covered Easy Make,Easy Mark by D'erlanger for the D'ERLANGER TRIBUTE ALBUM ～Stairway to Heaven～. Another compilation album, VESTIGE OF SCRATCHES, was released on January 2, 2018. DIR EN GREY's twenty-ninth single 人間を被る was released on April 25, 2018. One of its B-sides is a remake of Ash, a song with origins as far back as 1997. On June 29, 2018, DIR EN GREY announced that their tenth studio album The Insulated World was to be released on September 26, 2018. After its release, the band went on a European tour in October 2018, under the title "Wearing Human Skin".

decays 2015 - present DECAYS is a Japanese rock band signed to Dreamusic. This unit is centered on DIR EN GREY's Die (Vocal & Guitar) and the music producer and MOON CHILD member Drums. (Started in July 2015) Currently, it is composed of 6 members including Nakamura Naka (Vocal & Guitar), Ayasa (Violin), Ryota Terasawa (Bass), and Chidney (☆). Each member is playing an active part in their own field, and when they gather at DECAYS, a chemical reaction is caused and a new sound is born, a digital rock sound and a catchy melody reminiscent of 90's. It will change to bewitching music.
