Our Father who art in heaven, I'm sorry but I couldn't stay.
Not sure when the influence of man got to him, but it seemed almost inevitable. As sure as the Earth is to spin into a new day. Although, unlike those that fell before, this was by choice. Not to a pointless war, not as an act of rebellion, no of uncertainty, but curiosity. His father's name had danced past his lips his whole life. Singing His praises, lifting His throne so that the others will see, will hear. So that the others will know that He is the one true god to follow. It was why he was made, it's the only thing that he was meant to do. And yet, he wanted more.
The Morningstar made some valid points when he rebelled. He would never side with those points when they were made, it took time. Time to think, time for the story to deepen. For the plot to thicken, for the tales to travel up to praise for Him. Time to have those songs dance in his ears, to pique his interest. Until he couldn't stand the taste of the songs any longer. His voice fell as he backed away from the throne. No goodbyes, no tears, just a flutter of excitement as he clipped his wings and fell to the Earth he has said so much about.
"And falling's just another way to fly."
